We Shall Praise

We Shall Praise

We have recently witnessed people offering the ultimate forgiveness – forgiving those who, literally, murdered a member of their family with the most recent being in a church. Tiffany Wallace reminds us all of what it means to be a Christian

“I forgive him, and it’s the hardest thing to say because it’s like, somebody killed your dad, but I forgive him,” Wallace said. “I’ll never forgive what he did, but I forgive him.”

Puts everything into proper perspective when it comes to forgiveness. How easy will it be to forgive the person that pulled out in front of you on the freeway or wouldn’t let you into traffic or cut in front of you at the theater? What about your cheating spouse or misbehaving children?

As I was studying Revelations 15 (NKJV) this morning the way this prophecy is presented paints a picture not unlike the story above. John shows us that God is preparing to overcome the beast and in turn will pour a great punishment on humanity. Some of that humanity will be our family, friends and neighbors – people we know and love. They are not going to a happy place. While this is happening we are told to sing praises to God for His love for us. Most of us will not understand what is happening, we will simply see our loved ones tormented and dying. Will we sing praise of joy to the Lord?

Revelations 15 NKJV

1 Then I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvelous: seven angels having the seven last plagues, for in them the wrath of God is complete.
2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who have the victory over the beast, over his image and over his mark and over the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, having harps of God.
3 They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb saying:

“Great and marvelous are Your works,
Lord God Almighty!
Just and true are Your ways,
O King of the saints!
4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy
For all nations shall come and worship before You,
For Your judgments have been manifested.”

5 After these things I looked, and behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened.
